We are currently looking to fill the following position:

Coordinator for Inclusive Business Models (InBM)
in the private sector development project „ProEcon" of GIZ and its partners in Mozambique.

As a coordinator for InBM you will be working in a team with a senior coordinator and be jointly responsible for:

  • • coordination of ongoing development partnerships with the private sector (DPP) including the project steering, quarterly monitoring and communication with the entrepreneurs and other partners,
  • • identification of new DPPs and development of project concepts and strategies,
  • • coordination of five national and regional advisors, including the daily and monthly administrative back office such as time sheet management, vacation management etc.,
  • • coordination of short-term consultants carrying out assignments for the project,
  • • regular communication with the GIZ project management and the Como team.

You will be based in Maputo, Mozambique with frequent travel (approx. 50% of working time) to the Provinces of the country. The senior coordinator is located in Germany with regular trips to the project and functions as sparring partner for continuous support and guidance to the coordinator and team in Mozambique to assure a timely and target-oriented implementation.

Your profile
You hold

  • • University Degree (German Diplom/Master) in Economics, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agronomy or similar,
  • • 3-5 years of working experience in project management or coordination, previous human resource management experience is an advantage,
  • • 3-5 years of working in private sector development and / or rural development,
  • • Working experience abroad, ideally in Sub-Sahara Africa and Mozambique,
  • • Working experience in development cooperation projects,
  • • Fluency in English and/or German as well as Portuguese and/or Spanish,
  • • Knowledge of Capacity Works would be an asset.

In addition, you are used to working independently and self-reliant, with a keen eye for details and precision when developing documents for internal and external use. You are a skilled communicator, used to interacting tactfully across different cultures and environments.
