Water Resources Management, Drinking Water, Waste Water

Water is a vital natural resource, but it can be equally life-threatening in both scarcity and excess. The conflicts around water resources will continue to increase. Access to clean water and sanitation is a basic requirement to prevent diseases and reduce maternal and child mortality. There are various challenges in the management, the provision and maintenance of infrastructure, and in governance related to water resources. Reforms in the water sector include the education of populations, administrative modernization and adaptation of policy frameworks. Often it comes to improving cooperation and coordination of public, civil society and private sector actors and building capacity to implement the reforms.
The core expertise of Como lies in the support of change processes within organizations and cooperation systems. Our consultants have a very good understanding of the water sector - if the subject-matter becomes very technical, we work together both in Germany and abroad with specialised network partners.
